Par ces cartes géographiques ajourées qui s’interpénètrent, la sculpture symbolise l’intégration des diverses communautés culturelles de la ville de Saint-Lambert. Outre cet aspect sociologique, la sculpture propose un jardin géographique comme autant de panneaux de signalisation pour permettre aux automobilistes de rejoindre leur destination. En faisant le tour de ce carrefour giratoire, les usagers empruntent, sur un mode humoristique, des chemins vers de lointains pays. Si le rond-point donne accès à plusieurs directions, cette sculpture, à la fois figurative et abstraite, offre un carrousel d’évasions pour le voyageur en quête d’imaginaire.

Through these openwork geographic maps that interpenetrate, the sculpture symbolizes the integration of the various cultural communities of the city of Saint-Lambert. In addition to this sociological aspect, the sculpture offers a geographical garden like so many road signs to allow motorists to reach their destination. While circling this roundabout, users take, in a humorous way, paths to distant countries. If the roundabout gives access to several directions, this sculpture, both figurative and abstract, offers a carousel of escapes for the traveler in search of the imagination.
